Zanzibar, Kenya or Maldives?

When I’d come back from one of my journeys my friend asked me: “Well Natasa, what is your recommendation for an exotic destination? Zanzibar, Kenya or Maldives?”. I have to admit that I didn’t know what to recommend. And guess what? I still don’t know clearly which of these exotic destinations to recommend. So, I want to thank my friend who inspired me to write a post about this topic.

First of all, each of these exotic destinations are beautiful and different on its own. You won’t make a mistake whatever you choose. However, I’ll try to explain a little bit more about these journeys and I hope to help you to make a good decision. So, let’s start.

Zanzibar (Tanzania)

If you want to visit a different kind of beaches such as sandy, with lots of unusual shells, and stony, Zanzibar is right choice for you. Zanzibar is located in the Indian Ocean and this island has the most colorful nature I’ve ever seen. Also, if you want to feel like the protagonist from “the Jungle book”, go ahead to tour in Jozani Forest. It is the only national park on Zanzibar. Jozani is also famous for rare red Colobus monkeys and even harder to spot – Zanzibar Sykes’ monkey, a very rare monkey species unique to Zanzibar. Along with Red Colubus Monkeys you can expect to see Bushbaby, 50 different species of butterflies and 40 species of birds. You can visit Prison Island and met and feed old tortoises. So, this journey is for the real adventurers.

Kenya

If you want to feel real wildlife of Africa and have a rest on the beach too, visit Kenya. Wildlife tours are Kenya’s biggest attractions, drawing many visitors to the country each year. Kenya manages more than 20 national parks and national game reserves. We visited Shimba National Hill Reserve. This is the only place in Kenya you can see Sable Antelope. Also, in this tour we were walking to the Sheldrick Falls – a great opportunity to see the birdlife in the forest. We also went to Shimba Hills Green Safari Lodge, where we could see mountain Kilimanjaro.

Kenya’s many beaches along the Indian Ocean are the country’s second biggest tourist attraction. Visitors can enjoy clean beaches lined with palm trees and studded with luxury resorts, with coral reefs located just offshore. Therefore, this journey is for adventurers who wants after laying on the beach, to explore wildlife.

Maldives

If you want to escape to an exotic world and feel like “lost in Paradise”, go to Maldives. The Maldives are wonderful country with stunning islands. As I mentioned in previous text, each resort is located on single island which presents it very exotic and amazing. According to resorts you have a lot of activities which are offered to you such as:  snorkelling, fishing, canoeing, windsurfing and sport activities. Also, you can go to the night club and karaoke party at the night. In any case, you will not be bored. I may say that Maldives are destination where I would come back again. Therefore, Maldives are for those who wants to feel luxurious and exotic experience.

As a result, whatever you choose, you won’t regret. Just go ahead and escape to a tropical paradise :).
